These plants are usually appropriate for small and medium size glass factories where flexible production are carried out with several furnaces and different types of glass.

In this kind of plant the batch is prepared in automatic mode (silos downloading and raw material weighing) while the material handling from the scales to the mixer and from the mixer to the furnace is manually made with different solution depending on plant characteristics.
The raw material storage is made with steel plate silos or with big-bag unloading fitted with downloading systems suitable to each component.

The weighing systems are electronic ones with stainless steel scale hoppers and load cells mounted on stabilizer bars. The mixture is prepared by tilting type mixer or other model depending on plant size.
Feeding points for manually metered ingredients can be foreseen in the plant for adding up the additives.
